I’m a pyro’ with a passion for process. Clean lines, refined forms, hand-cut patterns, and sand-carved surfaces comprise the visual elements in my work. Techniques used include color overlays, cane and murrini mosaics, incalmo joints, and switched axis transfers. My approach to producing is self-seeking. There is no underlying message or moral. I aspire to create meticulously detailed, uniquely cohesive, original works. Using traditional glassblowing tools, I’m the designer and maker from start to finish. Compelled by the small successes– my work is about the work, it’s about the process, it’s about the work in progress.
