Reza Pishgahi & Lois Hutter-Pishgahi

My abstract sculptures represent the expressive possibilities of steel, glass and limestone. I have taken these unforgiving elements and managed to meld them into sculptures that represent movement, color and energy. The sculptures I create incorporate cast, cut, carved, fused and assembled glass which is then joined with cut, shaped and welded steel. The metal surfaces are typically painted in metallic tones or powder-coated in bright, metallic colors that work well both indoors and out. Limestone is shaped, sanded or carved to provide a substantial base for many of my sculptures.
