My goal is to fuse current day digital technology with an aesthetic painterly approach, bridging the the gap of technology and timelessness. I want the viewer to see an image reflected in their own experiences and not any one technique. The theory of my work is titled “Mise En Scene Realism”… setting the stage to tell of real life humanity, emotion and story. Andrew Wyeth said it best in his quote, “I often paint the most when I am not painting… it is in the subconscious”. Images must live and breath the same air as those standing in its presence. That is the resonance I am compelled to achieve.
