John Galbo

Using a 21 megapixel digital camera, I shoot raw images, which optimizes sharpness and detail, and compress them for storage in-camera. Later, using Photoshop and other software, I compress and restore the images to what they were at the time of shooting. At this time I selectively apply tonal corrections to some of the images, much as would be done with a traditional negative in a darkroom. Then printing is done in house with an Epson 9900 printer. My inspiration derives from extensive travel domestically and in Europe, particularly France.
