Chris Seeman
Chris’s wall hangings are a direct reflection of his quirky and fun personality. He draws every piece individually, each by hand, on a sheet of stainless steel, he then cuts every element of negative space out with a hand held electric torch, leaving the viewer with the musicality of shapes dancing on a plane of two dimensional steel. The process is taken even further by welding on ball bearings, masonry nails and metal rod. Gold, and or copper leaf and enamel paint is applied to certain areas, and rods give strength and dimension from behind, or on the round pieces a domed center is added which makes the previously flat sheet of stainless steel a glowing jewel for any wall.
