Brittany Lyons

Encouraging, inspirational, and peaceful are words that describe the tranquil work of Brittany Lyons. Through the blending of color, texture and various media, viewers can glimpse into the character of who Lyons is as an artist. Her creative process begins with an empty canvas and her beloved palette knife. They are not given any intent direction, but in a way, Brittany lets the canvas paint itself. Brittany Lyons is an artist in Dallas, TX. She has a Biology Degree from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and has been living in the Baylor neighborhood of Dallas since 2016. She began selling her artwork by timidly approaching a boutique gift shop to see if there might be any interest in her work. Upon view of her pieces, the shopÕs buyer loved her work, and her art was being showcased in public for the first time. Due to her shyness, and the vulnerability of showcasing art, she has yet to attend a juried show since beginning her career. An Abstract Expressionist, Brittany, has been inspired by everyday sensations. Country living, cityscapes and even smells and sounds have given uncommon influence to her work. Her studio is near Deep Ellum. Brittany is trying to become an active member of the Dallas arts community. She actively donates pieces of art to local charitable organizations, and her work can be found in local boutiques around the DFW metroplex or by visiting her studio.
