I have had an interest in shape and surface design since my first exposure to clay. My work in these areas has led me to experiment with clay and glaze formulations. This has allowed me to achieve a surface design that has it’s roots in the natural world. Landscapes, trees, the earth we walk on. My work is made solely by me. No assistants. Pieces are wheel thrown or hand built using porcelain or white stoneware. They are glazed and then fired to a high fire reduction. Some pieces have been fired multiple times to achieve the desired surface quality. All clay and glaze formulas are of my own creation.
