My work is inspired by tones of coastal living, whether it is the ambiance of the place, the attitude of the people, or a simple characteristic of line, color, texture or form.Š— Nancilee Woodyard Overdyke creates a line of textural, luxury fashion jewelry, for which she started the NankaiiΠjewelry brand in 2001. Shortly after receiving a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Nancilee returned to Florida to pursue inspirations within the Gulf Coast environment and culture. The Spilt BeadsΩ line of NankaiiΠjewelry on exhibition, is a playful and feminine attempt to manipulate the materials at hand. Each piece is a sculpturally individual abstraction of organic inspiration. Constructed of flexible nylon coated steel cable, precious metals, semi-precious stones, natural pearls and shells, and Swarovski crystals, the designs are elegant and surprisingly comfortable!
