Intricate patterns are created in the vessels by gluing separate segments together; a layer at a time, then refining the shape on a lathe. Only the natural tones of the woods provide a rich palette of colors. Powerful imagery is created on some of the pieces by inlaying thousands of glass European seed beads, one at a time.
