Margaret Baker

I paint the moments-in-between, those forgotten mundane moments of the past that take on a great significance in memory. The references for my oil paintings come from old snapshots and family photos from my own history as well as from those I collect. The idea of elevating a thrown away snapshot memory to an oil painting that tells a story is why I make these paintings.
