For me the process is as important as the finished piece that I create. I am constantly trying to blur the line between nature and my hand. When a viewer cannot determine where nature left off and I began is when I feel as if I have been successful. I work with non powered hand tools, I believe this technique allows me to “feel” my materials better and creates a bond that I might not have otherwise had. So in essence each piece is a collaboration between the material and myself.
