MAIN ST. FORT WORTH ARTS FESTIVAL UNVEILS 2019 HEADLINERS, INCLUDING RECKLESS KELLY, JENNY AND THE MEXICATS, AUSTIN ALLSUP, LARRY GEE, THE JAMES HUNTER SIX, AND MORE
Numerous renowned entertainers will take the stage April 11-14 at Texas’ largest arts festival in Downtown Fort Worth.
FORT WORTH, Texas (March 4, 2019) – Every spring, MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival (MAIN ST.) draws thousands of live music enthusiasts to Downtown Fort Worth with its lineup of chart-topping entertainers. Throughout the four-day festival, more than 50 acts will perform from a variety of genres including blues, jazz, country, rock ‘n’ roll, Latin, funk, R&B, soul, folk, Americana, classical and more.
MAIN ST. 2019 will be held April 11-14 and feature three stages: the University of Texas at Arlington Main Stage, located at 9th and Main Street, and the Sundance Square Stage, located in Sundance Square Plaza, and the brand-new “Hear Fort Worth” locals-only stage, presented by Visit Fort Worth and located at 7th and Commerce Street.
Festival headliners on Thursday, April 11, include Greece-native blues singer Abraham Alexander, critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Larry gEE, local R&B group Legacy 4, and 70s disco band Le Freak.
On Friday, April 12, the entertainment lineup features Americana/blues entertainer Paul Thorn, country singer and former “Voice” contestant Austin Allsup, Colombian funk band Superfonicos, pop/Latin group Jenny and the Mexicats, singer-songwriter duo Danni & Kris, retro soul musician Chris Watson’s Retrophonics, and fan-favorite Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
Saturday, April 13, highlights performances by Grammy Award-winning Brave Combo, British blues guitarist The James Hunter Six, scat jazz singer Jazzmeia Horn, Texas country band Reckless Kelly, Fort Worth-native country singer Kylie Rae Harris, and Americana/alternative rock group Joey Green Band.
MAIN ST. 2019 will wrap up on Sunday, April 14, with performances by Van Cliburn Junior International Competition award-winners Youlan Ji and Clayton Stephenson, swing-jazz group Andy Meadows Big Band, husband-and-wife Americana duo Jason Eady & Courtney Patton, the classical UT-Arlington Flute Ensemble, and the highly-anticipated Texas Red Dirt Roads (TXRDR) show.
