Each piece serves as a gestural study of posture and consciousness. Focus is on figure, sans face. Direction is enhanced by mood and framed by fascination in experiencing primitive cultures through travel and exploration. Ideas are worked out in cutting, welding, shaping and chasing small pieces of bronze – starting at the feet, ending at the head. Emphasis lies in negative space and attitude – later grown and evolved into clay or plaster before becoming cast into bronze. Traditional patinas used. All are based on stone and wood. Limited editions from small tabletop to the monumental. Several exhibited in private collections.
