Terrie Mangat
Terrie Mangat’s quilts are based in tradition, and then taken to another level of expression. Her complex compositions draw upon the power of pattern, have multiple focal points, are partially realistic and partially abstract, and are comprised of a myriad of materials and objects in addition to fabrics, including, for example, buttons, beads, and photographic representations, encompassed by the stories she tells. Her techniques include hand reverse appliqu?, hand embroidery, machine piecing and quilting, painting, and beading.
