Teresa Merriman

This Bio might be more about you than about me. Drawing from personal experience and having been inspired by so many, I like to “pay it forward”, if you will, and therefore I find myself having a delicate role.

In all the complexities one can have, I can narrow my character down to one solitary confinement: I am a professional visual artist, expressing my imaginations in the form of bookbinding. It is my life.

And, I am just like you. You and I both are inspired by the world around us. We get the goose-bumps for songs, movies, stories, paintings, and strangers laughing and sharing fun-loving times. You and I, we internalize these happenings and are sensitive to the relevances in them. We perceive this world with a profound and compassionate capacity for diversity, and my reaction to this is to create journals; yours is to use them–record yourself in this world from the perspective of *your* mind’s eye!

And in a continued mission to empower the artist that resides within you, I leave you with this:

I believe in you, your talents, your dreams and your efforts. Just as those inspirational figures in my life have helped me discover vast frontiers in the landscape of the arts, I hope to pass it along to you and give you permission to pursue your unabashed passions, and to put them on the page. To have them live for millennia.

Imagine some future soul finding our meditations and saying, “This was from all the way back in 2014?!”
