My subject matter deals with images taken from nature, drawn directly from the landscape, or in the form of still-life. The work is characterized by a bold use of color combined with subtle textural elements. The work is designed to have a strong visual impact, while at the same time enticing the viewer to investigate the image up close in order to experience the texture and various mark-making techniques that may not be noticed from a distance.
