Sarah Hassler

My present work is the culmination of many years of experimenting with non-traditional materials in making jewelry. Through the use of cold joinery techniques, such as riveting I combine hand cut and found acrylic and bakelite parts with sterling silver. I have always been interested in using repetitive forms in unique combinations to create pieces with common elements yet distinctively separate from one another. When I’m searching for materials I always have the thought “what could this become?” My main goal has always been to design wearable art with clean lines that is durable and comfortable to wear.
