My 2D-Mixed Media work often begins with a hand-pulled monotype (oil-based ink transferred from plate to paper via an etching press). I mount the monotype on a panel and then draw over it using combinations of soft pastel, oil pastel, prismacolor pencil or I paint over the monotype using oil paint.
