The artists create original, hand-cut glass designs and cold cast them in light-weight concrete. The matte surface of the concrete provides the perfect foil for the luminous and iridescent glass used in their work. Rather than being merely a medium to hold the glass, the concrete has become a canvas for their unparalleled skills with concrete stains and pigments. Their work is an evolving exploration of contrasting materials and the effects of light: the earthy, matte qualities and unlimited textures of concrete juxtaposed with the ethereal qualities of iridescent glass.
