Rick Loudermilk

The challenging motif in this modernist watercolor series is composing images with basic geometric shapes. Rick Loudermilk makes numerous large-scale templates and combines them with free-form painting to create complex planes of color and shadow that move in and through each other. He also uses watercolor pencils and pigment pens for definition.
