Renee Engebretson & James Engebretson

Jim started blowing glass over 40 years ago and Renee began working in glass over 30 years ago. Our collaborating on pieces started around 1982. We live on what was once the largest commercial trout hatchery in the midwest. After being flooded in the mid 1900’s the hatchery has mostly reverted to it’s natural state. Native brook trout and an abundance of wildlife make it a magical place to live and work. This place inspires us on a daily basis and the majority of our pieces come from that inspiration. We hope you are able to catch a glimpse of the spirit of place in our work.
