Randal Spangler

My whimsical drawings begin with a pencil drawing defining subject and composition on tan museumboard. Then I lay in a thin layer of watercolor which I use as my foundation for my colored pencil drawing. I start with my darkest areas and move forward to my brightest highlights. This takes many layers. My whimsical images are drawn from my own life experiences.
