Pablo Garcia

It’s difficult to talk about ones work especially when you don’t know much about it. I always start a painting with a really good notion of what I want it to be and what I want to get out of it. I paint in oil because of the limitation and the unpredictable solutions that sometimes can offer. When I put the brush down for the first time I often star light on color and pigment, and slowly build the surface up as I go. Most of the time I like the surface as flat as possible and the white of the primer completely gone to see as I go the brushstrokes clearly, Lately I have use seven color or less in my pallet it helps me with the decision I take. Generally I have a pretty good idea of what a good painting is, but I don’t think no one ever knows how and what to paint to get there. Either if I paint a tree or a figure even a flower those principles are always there. Sometimes I paint to forget other times to remaining myself of things that I don’t like or understand, also things I love.
