My photographs are less about documentation and more about the senses. I want my images to be organic, animated by the curling of paper and feel of decay. Creativity does not end when the image is captured through the lens of my camera. Each photograph has two creative lives, in the camera and in the darkroom. Hand printing is an extension of my creative process. Each individual photograph changes according to mood and inspiration, resulting in a unique image. Gelatin silver, high quality papers, oil pigments and tar are some of the materials I use in my images.
