Marvin Bower

My bags are the result of forty plus years of design and refinement of contemporary and traditional design. I am the sole creator of all the Tanners Creek leather designs. I use the highest quality materials available to produce each piece. My wife and I work together in the cutting and sewing of my bags. All work is performed within my studio. My bags are made from top grain leather, mixing textures and colors, making each a one of a kind. All components are laid out by tracing around plastics patterns. Parts are then hand cut using scissors, knives, or industrial fabric knives for the linings. Some leather parts are die cut. All sewing Is performed using industrial sewing machines. All designs are a combination of form and function. Meant to be aesthetically pleasing, rugged, and perform a particular task. They are meant to be used hard and last for many years. Please feel free to ask any questions about my work or the processes I use to make my handbags.
