My works are detailed ink drawings on a gessoed piece of wood. I then brush on a few layers of acrylic glaze. Then I start a 4-6 day process of layering transparent oil colors with brushes and rags. I occasionally add transparences at this point and when that is completely dry I put another 2 coats of enamel to seal and add shine.
I have been drawing since I was a little spike. I always loved the rain and clouds and the beautiful colors that came with it. One year I’m painting on clay, the next year it may be all drawings or acrylics. I’ve been displaying my art now for 5 years. In that time I now illustrate for The New York Times Book Review 2-3 times a year and travel throughout the U.S. selling at fine art shows.
