Memories are fleeting. There are moments in time that cross our minds that transports us back to another time and place. I try to capture these moments. For the past few years I have worked with a variety of materials. I came to realize that certain types of images from classic films, vintage magazines, handwritten letters, old postcards and old family photos have a very strong language of memory. These images can trigger memories. Yet my interest is not in the documentation of the nostalgic. Rather, I want to blend the use of memory with the with the experience of today. The goal is to recreate a fleeting moment of memory and relate it to a modern experience of connections and life. These images’ capture a time and place that is full of life and light.
