This technique of “Metal Batik”is an original process developed from a lifetime as an artist willing to cross barriers into the unknown.

Sheet bronze is sheared to size, bent, polished, lacquered, silkscreened with resists and then sandblasted. Next, appliques of color and patina are added. The mask is then stripped off and many coats of lacquer are sprayed on for protection from the elements.

Sheets of glass are cut, sanded, adhered with silicone glue and then tested for water tightness and glued to the bronze panel.
