Luis Enrique Gutierrez

am a third generation artist in my family. My work is based on my Nicoyan Indian heritage. My personal stamp on top of the traditional variety of ceramic work has made me an innovator in my family and community. I still burnish my pottery with rubbing stones, no glazes. The link back to indigenous techniques with modern designs is my hallmark.
