Lea Alboher

Lea is a self-taught artist who settled in San Francisco after emigrating from Israel 20 years ago. She collects images which appeal to her, cuts and pastes them together, then draws and paints over them using whimsical eye and an undeniable sense of humor. She then mounts the collage on handmade ceramic tiles. Each clock is unique and is imbued with her years or experience as a photographer, painter and sculpture. He eclectic combination of imagery invites you into her world, evoking feelings of comfort as you delve into unknown realms, often blurring the bourndaries between in- and outdoors. Her images may lead you from a flower garden to a sun-drenched kitchen not knowing where one steps and the other begins.
