I use recycled bottle caps and vinyl records as the centerpiece of my jewelry. I combined them with sterling silver to create fun and unique jewelry to wear everyday as well as on special occasions. Sterling silver is the metal of choice to frame the piece because of its precious nature combined with a non-precious element. Kind of a yin-yang thing! Rivets are my usual attachment to the silver as bottle caps and records cannot be soldered. The rivets add a unique design to each piece. The reason I create jewelry using alternative materials is to spark imaginations, indulge in a little silliness, and just to see a few smiles.
