Kipley Meyer

The focus of my work is to create interplay and harmony between the disparate elements in life and nature that inspire me: abstract forms, music, the art of communication and the philosophy of Minimalism. All work is made with domestic hardwoods, carved with routers, chainsaws, chisels, planes and lathe. A rich and warm patina of milk paint and wax provides the finish. Rusted nails , washers, etc. are often incorporated. Allegorical in nature, this work tells stories based on Connection, Communication and Love as told through abstract and geometric symbolism utilizing the most ancient of forms; Circles and Lines.
