Kina Crow

My works are created by hand sculpting a hollow figure in a mid fire stoneware and applying under glaze at the wet stage, they are then fired to a bisque state and washed in a solution of iron oxide and re-fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln. Once they emerge from that inferno, they are brought to life with lips, cheeks and eyes using acrylic paints.
