Kerri Norman

I am a jewelry fabricator using silvers, golds, bronze, gems, stones and pearls. My initial ideas usually come from a shape or form that appeals to me – sundew plants, storms, mushrooms, jellyfish, and flora for instance. I never try to use natural sources as a template but more as a starting point for shape that I then play with and stretch. My aim is to suggest the original form rather than precisely recreate it. My aesthetic is contemporary, somewhat mechanistic and industrial while retaining delicacy and wearability. It is very important to me that a piece be wearable and comfortable.
