I carve linoleum prints, and print them on to various rice papers and tissue. They are layered with acrylic paint on canvas creating pieces that are evocative of maps, architecture, and birds eye views of landscape. I enjoy manipulating the transparency of the paper, and the opaqueness of the ink. Inviting the viewer to look through the layers and discover the interesting surface this process produces, while giving a sense of history as to what was there before. Although these are print based pieces, each one is one of a kind.
