Using flame to shape glass, or connect metal, I combine my own torch-formed components in soda lime glass: some shiny, some frosted, iridescent, or phosphorescent, and design them into jewelry. My work translates a lifelong fascination with natural history, and the interface between culture, adornment & environment. Co-founding a wildlife preserve & glass studio in Central America has deeply influenced and fueled my artistic inspiration. My interest is to convey an authentic sense of wonder toward our fragile ecosystems using the sculptural medium of glass.
