I have a passion for all things vintage and a love of jewelry. After taking classes at the Southwest School of Art & Craft in 2006 I had gained the knowledge I needed to combine my loves together creating one-of-a-kind wearable pieces of art to share.Over the years I have collected many found objects with the hope of one day turning them into “something”. But it was the vintage tin cans I had that truly inspired me. The vivid colors, great typefaces and wonderful subjects lend themselves to being unique pieces of jewelry. And they vary so_some have amazing saturated colors and others are beautifully romantic which really embodies both sides of my personality. My current work is a combination of geometric shapes that are all hand-cut. I find beauty in their imperfect silhouettes as well as the distressed nature of the tin. By narrowing the subject matter into something as simple as a circle or rectangle, I give it new life by changing the context in which it is viewed.Being creative is a gift and passion that I love and embrace. I am continually inspired by found objects of the past and look forward to where they will lead me in the future.
