All pieces shown are from my Gentle Current Series. Each piece starts with beach pebbles collected along the shores of Lake Superior. I drill and core the pebbles, but never change the basic shape. The sterling silver is hand hammered, forged and formed. On some pieces, various elements are soldered together. All clasps are also hand forged. Many of the pieces have tube set gemstones. The tubes extend through the sterling silver that is not always visible on the back of the piece and are made into a cold connected rivet that holds the pebble in place. Each piece in this series is unique because of the shape and color of the pebbles, and also because of the choice of and placement of gemstones and pearls.
