Joe Nielander

My work is all blown free hand off the pipe which allows me to capture the glass in its fluid state while its changing from liquid to solid. The magnification of light, color and form through the thickness of the material is an inherent quality of glass which I try to capitalize on in my work. The blending of colors in my work is something that has drawn me to glass for 27 years and intrigues me to work with it everyday.
