We believe our furniture creations are functional art pieces with a great deal of individualized attention to each piece. They beauty of the wood is expressed in a variety of ways. Great detail is given to each design, as well as the way lumber is chosen, cut, joined and finished. Each design begins with an idea and a rough sketch. We both work together designing the piece. Leslie carefully selects the lumber for each part of the piece to enhance the finished product. She constructs the piece with exotic and/or domestic hardwoods using traditional joinery, with hand and machine woodworking tools. Jo then finishes the piece using a polyurethane and Tung oil combination developed in our shop. Approximately 5-8 hand rubbed coats of finish are applied to each piece leaving a very natural appearance. AR Images has been making furniture and accessories since 1993.
