I began weaving in 1981 using natural materials including reeds, cane, and sea grass. In 1992 I started to incorporate metals into my work. Soon, I abandoned the use of traditional weaving materials and switched to using aluminum to create the work. There is always a give and take choosing a given material, but I enjoy the challenge of working with heavy aluminum foil. The work is constantly evolving, and the possibilities seem endless.
