Erik Saulitis

I have always loved and appreciated the beauty and forms that dance creates. My work comes from this appreciation deep within me. What I create is ‘distilled down’ to what I feel is the essence of dance. Most of the images are black and white, shot in my studio using a very minimal background. This allows me to concentrate on the very essence of dance–the shape, power, beauty, and grace that the dancers create with their bodies. I strive to make my work graphically strong, visually pleasing and evoke a good feeling every time it is viewed.
