My current body of work is made of predominantly made of fine silver, sterling silver, and 24 karat gold. Through the process of kum boo, a traditional Korean process where 24-karat gold is fused over silver, I am able to create surface designs that are spontaneous and unique as well as precise and geometric.
Nothing is mass-produced or cast. I fabricate each and every one of my pieces using traditional metalsmithing techniques in my Kansas City studio.
2002-2004 MFA studies in jewelry design and metalsmithing at the School for American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
1997-2001 BFA in jewelry design and metalsmithing from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
