Don Mcwhorter

I am presently working on a body of work with influences coming from my recent hiking experiences in the American west/southwest, my love of temple architecture of south east Asia/middle east, and eroded stone formations and surfaces. I find peace in exploring forms with these elements involved, I think of meandering high meadow streams, uncovering an ancient culture’s habitat, or the incredible art of natures forces, wind, water, fire and continental drift. Somehow, this all makes sense to me and I completely enjoy the exploration in clay.
