Hot glass work captures precious moments of time frozen in glass. I am completely captivated by extreme forms and the undulating surfaces that are possible while coaxing hot glass into different shapes. The distinctive forms, tantalizing textures and sophisticated colors of my beads are used to create beautiful compositions in jewelry. These blossoming forms push my jewelry into the 3rd dimension of sculpture. My recent work feels very impressionistic. The wave beads are brushstrokes, the clamshells-loose blossoms, the dot beads are dabs of color where needed for highlights and shadows. I am currently concentrating on large necklaces that are wearable works of art. Each day I am eager to continue and explore new colors, textures and shapes. My art keeps me moving forward always excited to see what can be created, what is coming next.
