Clayton Bailey
Clayton Lee Bailey’s style has often been described as innovative, colorful and visionary. He is a metal sculptor specializing in the manipulation of aluminum(and sometimes copper or steel) through the use of creative grinding, bending and welding techniques. He uses recycled metal and recycled aircraft parts for his raw materials and incorporates recycled automotive paint to bring depth and color to his works. A photograph can only do limited justice to his works, as the grinding techniques he employs jump out in a colorful play of depth and light.Born in Wichita Kansas, Clayton Lee Bailey has lived and worked in Dallas since 1999. Clayton degreed in graphic design at Friends University in Wichita and continued his education at the Art Institute of Dallas where he focused on 3D animation.
