Cheryl Toh

I draw inspiration from various sources — nature and organic forms converge with concepts of community, communication and connectivity. In my work, I address these elements through intuitive and deliberate mark-making combined with subtractive and additive methods of construction.

Consideration is given to line and form through the use of repetition. This emphasis conveys the communal relationships hinted at by the dialogues within the layered compositions of my paintings and the time-markers of my drawings.
