I create my limited edition bronze sculptures by the lost wax method of casting. I do every step of the bronze sculpture from the clay modeling to the pouring of the bronze. There are several steps to creating a bronze. First you start with a wax. Then the wax is dipped into slurry and sand. The shell is then super heated in a kiln and the wax drains off and the bronze is now ready to pour in. Each piece is then sandblasted, welded together and then grinded smooth. Each sculpture has a traditional heat applied patina.
