Charles Stanley
There is an abundance of forgotten and unrecognized beauty all around us; often decades in the making, as time and nature silently create their artwork, yearning to be noticed. We can see a bit of ourselves in this. It has become my mission to be their champion. To bring time and nature’s artwork forward for full appreciation, where the small and insignificant are enlarged and celebrated. Often wandering the North Texas countryside in a pair of snake boots, or taking “awareness walks” through the urban wonderscapes of the DFW Metroplex, the hunt never ceases to deliver and teach. Most often, the best images are closest to their true integrity, (computer alteration kept to a minimum or none at all). The excitement is knowing that this canvas, of maybe 3’x4′, represents an actual temporary “event” of maybe 2″x2″, that will soon be changed by the elements or man. No artistic event is outside of the hunt, whether it be manmade, raw nature, or any combination thereof. All work is of limited edition, (153). Each is personally hand numbered and signed as “Chazzo”, an artist nickname from my birthname, “Charles”. All work is closely coordinated and supervised with quality labs using quality archival materials, and is satisfaction guaranteed, with custom sizing available. I have been a resident of the DFW area for 33 years. More available at www.gallery153.net, and “gallery153” on Instagram.
