Casey Bridges Deborah Bridges
Studio Bridges is a mother and son team of artists who have been showing their sculpture together for 18 years. Prior to that, the mother had been a full-time sculptor for another 16 years. Their large scale garden sculptures are inspired by ancient sacred traditions of the East and West. The work is designed to fit into a natural landscape and stand as a placeholder for the sacred, for impermanence, and for beauty. They create their original sculptures in clay, create their own molds by hand and use different aspects of it to create their buddhas, angels, African and Greek gods in a fiber-cement medium. Each piece has a different shape, texture, and patina. There are no two pieces alike. Their work is in 23 American Craft galleries all over the US. — Website: www.StudioBridges.com
